Celtic more Likely to be Champion of Premier League this Season

Celtic are very close to securing the Premier League title after a 3-1 win over Hearts.

Their nearest rivals Aberdeen managed a victory from their game as well, but Celtic’s impressive goal difference means that they are more likely to end up as champions even with a couple of matches left.

Manager Ronny Deila can breathe a huge sigh of relief especially since he has been under pressure for the last few months. Even after his exit from the club has been announced, Deila wanted to go out on a high. The 40-year-old has been successful in terms of domestic league titles but has struggled when it comes to European football.

Deila is expected to be replaced by managers like Neil Lennon and David Moyes, who are both available and ready to take over. Despite announcing his exit by mutual consent, Deila says that the win over Hearts is a sign that the players remain on his sides. There have been recent rumours that the manager had lost the dressing room after his exit was confirmed. This was the first big job for the 40-year-old and he has won the league title in all his campaigns with the Scottish outfit. He had big shoes to fill the moment he came to the club, as he was following the achievements of Lennon.

“The boys have supported me all the time.Always they ask me, 'have I lost the boys, have I lost the dressing room?' I never lost the dressing room, they are fantastic and you can see that today.I was so happy with the boys. We played a very good game. The first half, we were totally dominant and could've been two up.But they come over us a little bit in the second half.Hearts is a good football team,” said Deila.
