Ronny Deila confident to win against Aberdeen

Ronny Deila, the head coach of Celtic FC, is ecstatic to have been able to win in the away game against Aberdeen despite being a man down.

With that win, Celtic also became the table topper in the Scottish Premiership. They don’t have a lead in terms of points at the moment. They are levelled with Inverness Caledonian Thistle, but, because they are so much better in goal differential, they are at the top.

However, the advantage with Celtic is that they have played a game less than Inverness. So, they have the opportunity of going 3 points clear if they win their next game.

Chatting with the journalists at the end of the Aberdeen game, Deila said, “This is what we call playing together as a group. Not for a single moment did anybody drop his shoulder. Every guy put his 100% and the winning goal came eventually.”

“Playing away is always difficult. But, we were desperately willing to get to the top and the grit and the determination shown by the boys was commendable.”

Celtic has already been going well in Europa League. They are second in their group with 8 points and they are well on their way to the Round of 32. Now that they have topped the Premiership table as well for the time being, the fans would be really happy.

After Celtic’s domination in the previous season, the fans were obviously expecting wins after wins this summer too, but, that didn’t happen initially.

The Celts had a couple of tight games in August and then, in September also, they couldn’t snatch 3 points against Motherwell. The start of October was not that great either as Hamilton Academical defeated them at home. But, now their campaign seems to be getting on track.
