55 IS THE NUMBER – RANGERS HERO

Rangers legend Stuart McCall has revealed that the only number valid at Rangers is 55 as the Scottish Premiership leaders close in on league title number 55 this season at the expense of Old Firm rivals Celtic. Stuart McCall talked about Rangers, Celtic and the Scottish Premiership on Sky Sports at the weekend. Stuart McCall reiterated how strong Rangers have been at home this season under manager Steven Gerrard, who's gradually attaining legendary status at the club. Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard has been able to transform the fortunes of Rangers since his appointment some seasons ago. Steven Gerrard is on course to end the dominance of Celtic on the domestic front. Before this season, Celtic had won nine league titles in a row and were favouritesto win a tenth league title until the intervention of Steven Gerrard and his Rangers players.

Stuart McCall recalled the glory days at Ibrox, which saw Rangers win nine straight league titles just like what Celtic have achieved over the last nine years. Rangers took a step forward in their quest to win the league title with the 4-1 win over Dundee United in their latest game in the Scottish Premiership. The win was more than enough to extend their lead over Celtic at the top of the Scottish Premiership table. Rangers are now 18 points better than Celtic after they were beaten in their own league game on Sunday. Celtic were on the end of a 1-0 defeat at lowly Ross County with Jordan White getting the all-important goal with 19 minutes left on the clock. Rangers have been in sensational form at home this season in the league after winning all their 15 home games. They have conceded just two goals in those 15 home games. Rangers are on course to win the league title at the home of Celtic, Parkhead, next month.
