A large number of Celtic fans have expressed how much excitement they have currently after getting to know about the latest injury update of one of their players ahead of their important fixture at the weekend. Celtic will travel to Ibrox on Sunday to take on Rangers in the Old Firm derby and they will be hoping that they can get one over their bitter rivals by the time the final whistle is blown.

In what will come as a huge bit of positive news to the club's manager and their fans, midfielder James Forrest is said to have returned from his injury and will almost certainly participate in the fixture, giving Celtic a huge boost that such an important player will be returning from his long-term absence.

The club's fans took to Twitter and reacted positively and happily to the news , with some claiming that they cannot contain their excitement at the prospect of welcoming back James to the starting team. The midfielder has been out for a couple of the team's fixtures this season due to injury and is currently having an injury-hit campaign so far which he will be looking to turn around as soon as possible.

He has been restricted to only nine appearances for Celtic so far this season as a result of the ankle injury he has been battling with. However, it looks as though he will finally get the chance to put his season back on track as the latest reports are claiming that he will be marking his return from the injury at the weekend against Rangers.

Respected journalist Conroy tweeted with his account on Friday that the 29-year-old midfielder will be featuring in the clash, and Celtic fans started sending replies under the tweet. One fan, Christie, said she's happy to see the midfielder back and can't wait to watch him in action once again.
