Celtic interested in Bundesliga player Sebastian Andersson

Celtic has shown interest in signing Union Berlin player Sebastian Andersson for £5.5 million as per the report of a German outlet. But they are most likely to face competition from clubs like Leeds, West Brom and Newcastle United. The player has been exceptional in the last season for his club scoring 12 goals in Bundesliga by appearing in 33 games. With his performance, the club was able to achieve 11th position in the Bundesliga table.

With his potential, he was able to attract many clubs from different leagues of Europe. The Swedish international is also being pursued by another unnamed French club who seems like is putting forward competition for Celtic. Meanwhile, Andersson has shown interest in playing for a Premier League club as it is his dream. Many clubs from the top flight of English football has approached the player too.
The player started his career at Angelholms FF and later spend was transferred to Klamar FC. In 2018, he was transferred to Union Berlin after his former club Kaiserslautern faced relegation. He joined Union Berlin in free contract and have signed a two-year deal with them. Andersson has appeared in the Swedish cap for nine games and scored his first goal in the 2020 UEFA Euro 2020 qualification round.
Andersson is a very valuable player but due to certain clauses in the contract, the bid fee is less than the value of the player. Union Berlin could have asked for a bid fee more than £10 million. It seems like they have to sign off the player for such a small amount. If Celtic could convince Andersson despite his Premier League interests, then he would be a great addition to the club. His European experience will count a lot at Celtic in their quest to win more league titles.
