CELTIC OPEN TALKS WITH HART OVER POSSIBLE SUMMER TRANSFER

Celtic Football Club have continued their hunt for a goalkeeper and this time they have gone all the way to England to try and get a befitting candidate that fits their profile. The Scottish Premiership side have long been looking for an experienced goalkeeper and they have now identified Tottenham Hotspur star Joe Hart as the man they want to sign. Hart, a former Manchester City goalkeeper has gone out of form in recent years and was also without a club some months ago before he was signed by Burnley. After a spell with the Tykes, he then agreed a deal to sign for Tottenham under José Mourinho some months ago.

Spurs have already gotten themselves a goalkeeper this summer after completing a deal to sign Atalanta goalkeeper Pierluigi Gollini on a season-long loan. The deal means that Hart is now free to leave the club as Gollini will be the second-choice option behind Hugo Lloris at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium.

Celtic have not yet approached Tottenham to open negotiations over a transfer but they have reportedly started talks with Hart ahead of a likely move that will see him swap the English Premier League for the Scottish Premiership. He is expected to put the offer under consideration as the move would provide him the opportunity to play in more games than he would do if he remains at Spurs next season.

However, he could be forced to take a significant slash in his current wages as Celtic have a budget they're working with in their quest for a new goalie. There is still a lot of time in the transfer window for the deal to be completed so none of both clubs is in a rush to start a transfer negotiation.
