Ronny Deila confident to win against Aberdeen

Ronny Deila, the head coach of Celtic FC, is ecstatic to have been able to win in the away game against Aberdeen despite being a man down.

With that win, Celtic also became the table topper in the Scottish Premiership. They don’t have a lead in terms of points at the moment. They are levelled with Inverness Caledonian Thistle, but, because they are so much better in goal differential, they are at the top.

However, the advantage with Celtic is that they have played a game less than Inverness. So, they have the opportunity of going 3 points clear if they win their next game.

Lennon backed up Deila

Former Celtic manager Neil Lennon has backed his successor Ronny Deila by saying that success will eventually come to the Norwegian. Many questioned the appointment of Deila given that he did not have much top-flight experience. He has been the manager of a few clubs in Scandinavia before being given the Celtic managerial job. It has proven to be a tough few months for the new manager, as he has not only had to live up to the expectations created by Neil Lennon’s four years in charge of the club but also the fans expectations as well.

Fans turn back on Brown

Celtic have endured a tough start to the season under the management of Ronny Deila, who was appointed as the replacement for Neil Lennon. The manager has overseen Celtic dropping out of the Champions League without qualifying for the group stages. After having been in the group stages for the last two seasons, the club will now have to accept Europa league football for the coming campaign. To add to the misery, Deila suggested that Celtic should no longer look forward to playing in the Champions League since they have fallen well off the pace.

Deila Believes Team Is Weary

Ronny Deila, the Celtic boss, has said that weariness was one of the reasons of his team’s heavy defeat in the European Cup qualifying match against Legia Warsaw the other day.

Celtic was beaten by a big margin of 1-4 in the first leg of that qualifier against Warsaw.

The Celts can come back and still win the tie on aggregate if they do something magical in the return leg on their home ground, but, that doesn’t seem to be likely.

Deila Wishes To Promote Youth Growth

Celtic recently appointed Ronny Deila as the replacement for Neil Lennon, who left his post as the manager a few weeks ago. Just winning the Scottish Championship alone will not be enough for Deila and he has been the first to recognise that. In his first press conference as the new Celtic manager, Deila stated that he plans to make Celtic’s achievements bigger in the next few years, but not by spending money on new players. Instead, he wants to exploit the existing facilities at the club and turn them into a club that develops young talent.

Celtic Would Like To Spend For New Signings

Celtic manager Neil Lennon has admitted that he would like to spend a significant amount of money in the summer in order to help the club which the knockout stages of the Champions League. In the season before last, Celtic reached the knockout stages of the competition and they were ultimately sent out by Juventus. After the demise of Rangers, Celtic have been left as the sole big club in the Scottish Premier league. As a result, they have been experiencing little competition for the title.

LENNON LINKED AWAY

Celtic manager Neil Lennon has once again been linked with the Norwich city managerial role. The Premier league outfit recently sacked Chris Hughton from the role after a run of poor results, which has left the club just a few points above the relegation zone with only five matches left.

Further, the club have matches against top clubs like Chelsea and Manchester United in this remaining matches. Hence, the pressure is high on the club to survive in the Premier league. Lennon has been consistently linked with the managerial job ever since Paul Lambert left.

LENNON UNSURE ON PREM

Neil Lennon has once again talk about the possibility of managing in the Premier league, which is unlikely to reduce any rumours linking him with Norwich City. The Premier league outfit are heavily linked with a managerial change in the coming weeks, as they are thought to be unhappy with the performances of Chris Hughton.

The team has found it difficult to get results under the former Newcastle United assistant manager. Lennon has had a fantastic record of managing teams at the top end of the table.

CELTIC SEW IT UP

After the relegation of Rangers to the third division of Scottish football recently, Celtic have been the overwhelming favourites to win the league title. They currently lead the table by a massive 19 points that only appears to confirm this notion.

As a result, the club’s main challenge has been to do well in the Champions League and also the Scottish cup. However, this campaign Celtic appear to have failed in both aspects. They have been knocked out of the Champions League at the group stages itself, while they suffered an early exit in the Scottish cup.
