Steven Gerrard will be making a move to Los Angeles Galaxy

Liverpool’s Steven Gerrard will be making a move to the Major League Soccer club Los Angeles Galaxy when the current season reaches it’s end in the summer but now rumors have been popping up stating that Celtic FC is interested in signing the veteran midfielder before he actually goes on and joins the American League.

In a few months’ time Gerrard is going to be a free agent and his 18 year long relationship with Liverpool will end as the English midfielder will be spending the last few years of his career in the MLS. However, if Celtic is indeed interested in signing Gerrard on a loan deal, it can indeed be done before the midfielder makes a move to America.

Los Angeles Galaxy has an offseason that will start in December of 2015 and end in March of 2016. During this time, Gerrard could be playing with Celtic for a few months before making a switch to the MLS.

In order for a deal to happen it would depend on a number of things including if whether or not Steven Gerrard wants to perform in the Scottish club for a few months. Celtic FC will also have to negotiate with Los Angeles Galaxy and see if they can convince the American club on allowing Gerrard to play for another club before joining the American side and this can be a big obstacle as the player could risk being injured in this period of time.

Before Frank Lampard went on to join the MLS side New York City, he joined Manchester City and had such an impressive stint that his loan deal was extended as Lampard turned into an influential player during his stay at the Etihad Stadium and the Scottish side Celtic FC is hoping that this can occur with Steven Gerrard if a transfer does indeed happen.
